Why we make these free
Most online financial calculators are either bait for an email signup, or they're so generic they don't teach you anything. Both are wasted opportunities.
The tools here are deliberately useful on their own. Each one runs the same underlying engine Rikdom uses on real accounts — simplified to take inputs you can actually type, but with the same analytical rigor underneath. If you use the free version and like how it thinks, you'll like the real product. If you don't, you've still got a useful answer to take with you.
What you can't do here
The free tools don't connect to your bank, brokerage, or retirement accounts. They work on whatever numbers you type in. That keeps the bar to use them low — no signup, no permissions — but it also means the inputs are only as good as your estimates.
The full Rikdom product handles the account-connection piece automatically: it pulls in your actual balances, asset allocation, contribution history, and tax-bucket breakdown, and runs the same analyses with real numbers instead of estimates. That's the difference between the free tools and the paid product — same math, different inputs.
