Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Rikdom Labs LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company ("Rikdom Labs", "Rikdom", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using Rikdom ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of service

Rikdom is a financial planning platform that provides:

• Budget tracking and cash flow management
• Net worth aggregation via third-party connections
• Monte Carlo retirement projections
• Tax-loss harvesting opportunity detection
• AI-powered financial insights
• Community benchmarking (opt-in)

User accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Third-party integrations

Rikdom connects to your financial accounts via Plaid and SnapTrade. By using these integrations, you:

• Authorize read-only access to your account data
• Agree to Plaid's and SnapTrade's respective terms and policies
• Understand that we do not store your bank login credentials
• Acknowledge that account sync may occasionally fail due to third-party issues

Subscription & billing

Rikdom offers two subscription tiers:

You select a plan when you start your 31-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends. After the trial, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

Upgrades and downgrades are prorated automatically. If you cancel an annual subscription, any refund is calculated at the monthly rate for the months used, not the discounted annual rate.

Refunds are not provided for partial monthly billing periods.

Prohibited uses

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, mine, or harvest data from the Service
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Abuse rate limits or attempt to overwhelm our infrastructure

Not investment advice

Specifically:

• Monte Carlo simulations are mathematical models, not predictions. They illustrate possible outcomes based on assumptions that may not reflect actual future conditions.
• Tax-loss harvesting alerts identify positions with unrealized losses. They do not constitute tax advice. Consult a tax professional before executing any tax strategy.
• Smart rebalancing suggestions are mechanical calculations based on your stated target allocation. They do not consider your complete financial situation, risk tolerance, time horizon, or tax circumstances.
• AI-powered insights answer questions about your data using automated queries. They do not provide personalized financial recommendations.
• Community benchmarks show anonymized peer comparisons. They do not imply that any benchmark is an appropriate target for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rikdom Labs shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or financial opportunities
• Inaccuracies in third-party data (Plaid, SnapTrade, RentCast)
• Investment losses resulting from use of our projections
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@rikdom.io. Upon deletion, all personal data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rikdom Labs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

• Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
• The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
• For claims under $10,000, arbitration may be conducted entirely online or by phone at your election.
• Each party will bear its own costs of arbitration, except that Rikdom Labs will pay AAA filing fees if your claim is under $10,000.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent that arbitration is not applicable, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oklahoma.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
